Hello! Thank you for joining us and being part of our journey.
We are Rob and Tracey, a husband and wife team who make up Cake Origin. For those that have been following our story, you'll know that the business was previously known as 'Iced by Tracey'.
Tracey has always had a creative background, particularly with Art and Design, having studied illustration at University. This sat hand in hand with a passion for baking, having started making bespoke Cakes with her Mum over 15 years ago and this passion has continued to grow.
'Iced by Tracey' was initially set up with the aim of producing beautiful Wedding and showstopper Celebration Cakes however, as we were both made redundant from our full time jobs within the space of a few months back in 2018, we decided that this was an opportunity that we wanted to take to share our passion for all things Cake!
This enabled us to extend our product range and Cupcakes became a big part of our business which we began producing for events and festivals, which we continue to do too.
Towards the end of 2018 we were approached by Debenhams and the Highcross Shopping Centre in Leicester to introduce a concession of our products which we did throughout 2019 and the business has continued to evolve to what it is today.
Having now opened our Boutique, it naturally felt the right time to change the name of the business, although this was by no means, an easy thing to do.

Cake Origin now exists. A name that we feel not only tells our story but also our passion of continuing to share our Cakes with you and helping to create memories that all of your special occasions deserve.
